Every project carries two statuses — the one is reported as, and the one the data says it is. Here, a Project reported as Green is assessed as Amber based on a CPI of 0.98 and an SPI of 0.84, with 69 days of forecast slip.

Open risks are probability-weighted into a single expected value and measured against the contingency that has to absorb them — $274k against a $500k buffer. Anything rated High without a named owner and a treatment plan is raised as a governance gap, not left sitting in a spreadsheet.

Critical path, float and public holidays are recalculated from your programme on import. Baselines are kept side by side, so when a client proposes a re-baseline that quietly moves practical completion, the movement is named in days and tasks instead of disappearing into a new plan.

Crew demand is built up from the programme week by week and set against the labour actually available. Here two disciplines are already over the line — fit-out peaking at 36 against 16 for five weeks — which is a schedule problem months before it shows up as one on the Gantt.

Every subcontract and purchase order sits against the work package it was let for, with each claim tracked from submission to approval to payment. Approved claims become the project's actual costs automatically, so the cost report is built from certified work rather than re-keyed — and a claim nobody has assessed is flagged with how long it has been sitting.

The monthly report opens by naming the gap between reported and assessed status, then works through schedule, cost and risk citing only numbers that exist in the underlying data. It is generated in about forty seconds — the artefact a project manager typically spends three to five hours assembling the night before.

What is project controls software?

Project controls is the discipline of measuring what a project is actually doing against what it was supposed to do — cost, schedule, risk and forecast — and reporting it in time to act. Aegis is the software that runs it: your schedules and costs go into the Aegis Command, which continuously recalculates earned value, critical path and risk exposure, and produces a client-ready monthly report. It's a subscription tool you run yourself, not a consultancy — you get the function of a project-controls team without the headcount.

How is Aegis different from Procore, Microsoft Project or Monday.com?

Those tools hold the data. Aegis interprets it. Microsoft Project and P6 build a schedule; Procore runs site delivery; Monday and ClickUp track tasks. None of them tell you that reported status and assessed status disagree, or that a project reporting "on track" has quietly burned its float.

Aegis reads what those tools already produce and turns it into controls output: CPI and SPI, estimate at completion, critical path and float, P50/P80 completion forecasting, risk exposure in dollars, and a written assessment of where the numbers contradict the narrative.

Do we have to replace the tools we already use?

No. Aegis sits over the top of them. It imports Primavera P6 schedules (.xer), Microsoft Project schedules (saved as XML), Excel workbooks and CSV — so your existing programme becomes live earned value, critical path and forecast without being rebuilt in another tool. Your team keeps working where they work today.

Who is Aegis for?

Builders, contractors, engineering firms and owner's representatives running projects from about $1M to $30M — the band where a green dashboard hiding an 18-day slip costs real money, but a full-time project-controls engineer ($120k–$160k plus on-costs) can't be justified. If your monthly status pack is assembled by hand from spreadsheets the night before it's due to your client, you're the customer.

How long does setup take, and what do you need from us?

A contract value is enough to start — a project can be created before you have a programme, and the schedule can follow. The self-serve wizard walks you through uploading your programme (P6, MS Project, Excel or CSV), maps the columns for you, and tells you what's missing before it computes anything. Most first projects are live the same day.

You don't need an existing PMO, a clean baseline or a mature risk register. Aegis grades the data you have and shows you exactly which gaps are limiting the analysis — closing them is the first month's work, not a prerequisite.

Is Aegis software, or do we get a person?

The subscription is the platform, and it runs without us in the loop — that's what keeps it at a fraction of the cost of a controls hire. Every report carries the Aegis Assessment — an independent read of the project's health, written by AI from the computed figures — as standard.

What is the Aegis Assessment, and can I trust it?

It's the independent assessment of project health that opens every monthly report. It is written by AI from the computed figures — earned value, float, risk exposure, contingency drawdown — and it is instructed never to cite a number that isn't in the underlying data. Its most important job is naming the gap between reported status and assessed status when the two disagree.

Treat it as an analyst's read, not a professional sign-off. The maths behind it is auditable — every figure traces back to the source line in your schedule or cost data.

Can I invite my client and subcontractors?

Yes, at no extra cost. Every plan includes unlimited users, because Aegis is priced on the contract value under control, not per seat. Invite your delivery team, your client and your subbies — each gets access scoped to their role, and status submissions from the field recompute the portfolio figures automatically.

What does it cost, and is there a free trial?

Plans start at $395/month including GST, with unlimited projects and unlimited users on every plan, banded on combined contract value. Where is our data stored, and who can see it?

Your data sits in a dedicated database on managed cloud infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region, encrypted in transit and at rest, with each organisation's projects isolated from every other tenant. Access inside your organisation is controlled by role.

We don't sell your data or share it with other customers. The AI features run on Anthropic's commercial API, which does not use your data to train models.
